Gallery Problem – Let Me Guess: Memory Card Images Invisible?

I had a problem with my phone. I don’t know how many of you have had the same issue but in case someone has this problem he can find the solution here:

If you can’t see your images stored on the memory card here’s what you have to do:

  • Connect phone in mass storage mode (when you connect the phone to the computer it prompts you and you have to select mass storage mode)
  • On the computer right click on the drive and select properties.
  • A new pop-up appears: select tools -> choose ‘check now’ -> check the boxes (‘Automatically Fix File Sytem Errors’ and ‘Scan for and Attempt of recovery of bad sectors’)
  • After it finishes safely remove the USB and Done! I hope it works…it did work for me.

rotateMe v. 1.5 Released

rotateme_logo.png

The well known rotateMe software got an update and it’s better then the previous version. It has a few bugs though but I’m not sure if it’s because I didn’t restart the phone after installation or there’s some other reason but after a restart it works just fine.

A new thing is the ability to set the rotateMe to autostart and make it a hidden application (it won’t appear in the task manager) but other features were added like the priority, which can be set as normal or high making the software work faster if it is set on high(this is mostly for those of you who actually use this software a lot and have to switch between landscape and portrait mode often)

Sensy Scan – Use Your Phone As A Motion Detector Surveillance Camera

WOW. That was the first thing I said when I’ve found this application. It was hard for me to believe that there actually is a software like this, but after I installed it on my phone it was the same reaction as when I found the software: Wow. And that’s about as much as I’d like to add from my own experience.

The software has lots of features:

  • First of all: It works!!
  • Motion detection (which is impressive if you set it to high sensibility)
  • Ability to send an SMS, MMS or e-mail message whenever a movement is detected
  • A log which contains every detected movement with telling you the exact time the alarm went off

Mobile Personal Assistant – For Those Who Really Need It

This software is a very serious one. I don’t know about the intention of the developer (Teo) but this is exactly what a person needs if he is in some way unable to read the messages or missed calls from his cellphone. This software reads loudly every message you want it to read and what’s best, it can tell you if you have missed calls or calendar entries.

It can also be useful for those who are very busy and need a time out to read the messages or missed calls by pressing one button and finding out what happened in the past minutes or hours. Definitely a good idea.

A Few Quality Themes Part 1.

My opinion is that a good theme should be simple and easy-to-use. I hate the themes with weird animations and icons that don’t fit in any way to the applications these are associated with, so here are a few themes worth mentioning:

To be honest my favorite theme creator is Taieb.

I’ve Got The Ngage Application At Last

I was very happy when I got the nGage application first installed but after playing the demos of the available games my enthusiasm wasn’t very high any more.

The games are not as good as I expected, being pretty much the same as the normal sis or sisx games currently available for the Symbian phones, but I observed that the application itself installed some very interesting plugins like openGL and stuff like that so we can hope for great games. I don’t know if the available RAM (Memory) will be enough to play the upcoming games though. Continue reading
